Dr. George Otto is a long serving officer of the POLISH AMERICAN CONGRESS ILLINOIS DIVISION.  Today, he is the Illinois Division’s vice-president for American Affairs.  Over many years, the ninety-year old has had a good relationship with Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (D-IL9).  He did not need to implement the POLISH AMERICAN CONGRESS’S LEGISLATIVE ALERT to enact House Resolution 82 by phoning the Congresswoman’s staffers to request that she co-sponsor this legislation.  Instead, Dr. Otto spoke to Congresswoman Schakowsky who agreed to co-sponsor House Resolution 82.  This makes Dr. Otto an exemplar.  We urgently need more POLISH AMERICAN CONGRESS officers like Dr. Otto who have good relations with their representatives in Congress. In the photo below, Dr. Otto supports Congresswoman Schakowsky by attending her recent breakfast event with speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.
