PAC Supports Protest Against Mislabelling German CampsNov. 3, 2010: Polish American Congress President Frank Spula spoke on November 3 with Kosciuszko Foundation President Alex Storozynski and informed him that the Polish American Congress, which for decades has battled this erroneous slander, supports the Petition on German Concentration Camps. President Spula and the Polish American Congress have been added to the list of prominent representatives supporting the Petition. The petition requests that “The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and the Associated Press, include entries in their stylebooks requiring news stories to be historically accurate, using the official name of all "German concentration camps in Nazi-occupied Poland," as UNESCO did in 2007 when it named the camp in Auschwitz, "The Auschwitz-Birkenau German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp (1940-1945)." A newspaper’s stylebook provides the instructions and guidelines which editors and writers are expected to follow for articles to be published in that paper. The Polish American Congress encourages you to visit the following web link
