SPULA ELECTED PAC PRESIDENT

Washington, D.C.--Frank J. Spula was elected President of the Polish American Congress (PAC) at a meeting of the National Directors in Washington, D.C., on October 28, 2005. He won the position over Ludwik Wnekowicz, who is currently serving as Vice President for Polish Affairs.

Spula also serves as President of the Polish National Alliance and was Secretary of that fraternal for over 18 years.

The election was called to fill the vacancy created by the death of Edward J. Moskal. Virginia Sikora, President of the Polish Women's Alliance, acted as interim PAC President, but did not seek permanent election .

In other news reported from the meeting, a motion to close the PAC's Chicago Office was defeated. The PAC has offices in Chicago, heretofore referred to as the National Office, and in Washington, D.C.
