By now you are aware of the devastation that Hurricane Katrina has hit the Gulf coast areas of the United States. More than tens of thousands of people have been affected through this natural disaster with tens of billions of dollars in property loss to homes and damage to property.

Just as we did four years ago when floods hit Poland, and earlier this year when the Tsunami hit Southeast Asia, the Polish American Congress Charitable Foundation (PACCF) has been among the first to offer assistance.

Our state divisions are urged to organize fund raising efforts in their areas. The National Office of the PAC will help coordinate these efforts so that maximum benefits will occur in an efficient and timely manner. Often with a corresponding database of assistance we can use the buying volume of a national organization or with the donated efforts from manufacturers to help where it is needed the most.

It is crucial for us to provide flood and relief funds now to help in emergency needs and then help later to rebuild their lives.

Donations in the form of checks can be sent to the Polish American Congress Charitable Foundation, 5711 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL 60646. As a faster alternative, the PAC website offers payment by credit card via a secure system called PayPal. Click Here to make a donation online and indicate "PACCF Katrina Fund" in the area provided for comments or instructions.

All donations will be utilized with no administrative fee whatsoever and your donation will be acknowledged in writing.

For more information call Pam Komorowski (773) 763-9944.

The PACCF is a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization.
All donations are exempt to the fullest extent of the law.
